For Sirius
Somewhere – We Remember
Somewhere in the smallest bedroom
A boy has much to fear.
He fights with all his courage
To keep away a tear.
Somewhere dark a werewolf
Lets out an anguished moan.
How did he become
So very much alone.
Somewhere a despised traitor
Wallows in regret.
He’s more alone than any
Yet forever in their debt.
Somewhere a gleeful cousin
Is back where she belongs
And it’s sweeter now than ever
For she has what she most longs.
Somewhere a kind old man
Is cursing his mistakes
Knowing all too clearly
That they have caused too many aches.
Somewhere a man is angry
He cannot hate them all in peace.
He’s been robbed of all the sweetness
And yet the hatred will never cease.
Somewhere beyond the veil
A man at last is free
Of the pain and grief and sorrow
That his life had come to be.
Somewhere that we cannot know
A man greets his old best friend
We mourn them for it’s tragic
That their journey now is at an end.
Everywhere they still live on
Amoung us they will stay.
They’ve left a mark, where once they tread
Now they’re with us everyday.
Author notes
This is from back when I was quite young and the fifth book came out but i don't think it's too bad. The emotion was definitely there anyway. What do you think?

Having only recently seen the "Harry Potter movies" I was captivated by this. You have cleverly linked the characters into a well versed poem. Slight error in the final stanza line 2~ "amoung" should read "among".

Silver deserved!
Just read your 4 poems and this is very superior (not that the others are lacking) it's that this one stands out. I can see how you got that silver, well done. (not mills and boon though!!!!) WASP.

Really? I wrote this when I was 15 I really didn't think it's that good. I guess we have different tastes. But I am so glad you liked it

his death was so said and i liked how you incorporated everybody the moony/wormtail/padfoot/prongs relationship was always one of my favorites and the stanza referring to james gave me goosebumps lol, nice job..i love harry potter!

Great write. Like the way you mentioned other characters short 4 line about them but focusing mainly on Sirius and James. Loved the topic. Their friendship is eternal and they represent a friendship [though male/female I have with a guy I know]. We are alike and we muck about, naughty but harmless humour. Great write!
