Some folks think just to be a Mom
Is but a humble task and lowly
But I say to you, just listen to me,
If you do it right it's a task real holy!
You must always bear in mind one important thing:
Remember that you must be always fair
(thou' it's hard when kids can be so tiring)
And you must always show your love and momly care!
No matter what part of the nation you are coming from
You must never lose your soft maternal touch
Every single day of your life as a Mom
'Cos the litle ones look up to you so much!
And as you drive your auto on the streets of your town
Ensure the kids are safe in the back out of harm's way
And never forget to look left and right and up and down
For you are in charge of the future of the USA!
And at the end of the day, in good or stormy weather
And you are at home with all your loving family
Be real proud that after saying your prayers together
Rest assured that being a mom is a great responsibility!

I feel that you show how proud of being the mother that you are. That you want to explain what it means to you. You have shown this in your words. You could have gone into more depth on this subject however what you have penned is just a beginning, and I feel that there is much more that you feel on this subject. This was a delight to read.

I like this poem, however I dont thik it shows the strength of moms. I dont think that it has a solid visual of the prompt that was given. Thank you for your entry poet.
