Tomorrow's Sunshine

 TOMORROW'S SUNSHINE

A friend said we must focus on Jesus
To leave all the negative behind

God is the only one who can please us

Take this pain and sorrow from my mind

Let God crush the demons of loneliness

Love brought back to you with a vengeance
He has a plan, you will find happiness

True love waits for you, not one of pretense

Realization of who cares and who does not
Has become a bitter pill to swallow

Everything shared, lately he forgot

Time proved words to ring hollow

Ask and receive His blessings once more

Forgive the trespassers upon your heart
Gives strength to forever close the door

Say goodbye hurt and have a fresh start

Have faith and God completes His work in you
Leave the negative behind and move on

Say goodbye sorrow, hello love anew

Focus in on God and spiritual bond

Author notes

Based on the quote,
Happines is like mercury. Hard to hold, and when we drop it, it shatters into a million pieces. Maybe the bravest of all are those who have the courage to reach for it again. Mary Higgins Clark

        HELLO SANDY

I do rely much on my faith to get me through each day. I feel that is what people need so much more of.

It may shatter into a million pieces, but isn't it fun to push all those little mercury balls around until you have them all blobbed together? Sorry, lovely poem but I had to smile at the end when I read the quote. Always nice to be reminded that the Creator is still in control. However, I have to disagree with Mrs. Clark... happiness isn't like mercury. We can't drop it, and it doesn't shatter...we can choose to love or hate, and we can like or dislike... but happiness is being content with where you are here and now. I once read that "comparison is the thief of joy"...that's so true. You could probably substitute "happiness" for "joy" in that little quote. Maybe.

Wonderful comment my friend. Thanks for making me put my thinking cap on. You are right. Yes it is true, comparison is the thief of joy. But comparison is also the realization of truth, don't you think? Comparison isn't always the thief of joy, Sorrow is the thief of joy too, is it not my friend? Thank you Michael.
Always enjoy your comments. Thanks for reading and stopping by. Take care.

      Your dear friend, Sandy

I would have to disagree...comparison is never the realization of truth, just racking and stacking and "what ifs". Sorry comes from comparison...we can't be sorrowfull for that which we don't compair to what we have, dont' have, and feel slighted over even though 'fairness' is still a figment of our own creation. Did I mention it was a good poem...sorry about getting distracted.
