Vermilion laying across dehydrated eyelids,
digging deep into screaming veins and parchment
quills recite words so chewed they've lost all flavour,
trying to cover the sound of silence
(where there should be screams).
But baby pink doesn't go with 'sapphire suffocation'.
Rotted stone and mouldy silk to bear witness,
to an "I do" that was implied.
