Passion's
playful sands
passed through
narrow curve
to hollow
building there
mound of awaited
gladness
with grains
of flirting fondness
tumbling down
ever-rising slopes
of yearning expectation
but hateful circumstance
or destiny's
gentle nudge
intervened
and sorrowed sands
somehow seeped
in rhythmic dissipation
through hole
in bottom's
precious keeping
