Silent Battlefields

Within silent battlefields there are untold dangers all around
By the Light of the Holy One I walk securely in this town
Imprisoned by fears, false imaginings arise to accuse and claim
Neighbours a-waiting, as gossiping lions, to destroy your frame

Foxes despise the grapes they can’t reach, envy spreads like fire
Men, lusting, going from prison cell to prison for selfish desire
Distrusting the good ‘they encourage the bad’ at the crossroads
No love for the Truth, they jump from pan to kettle like silly toads

Some are as Lighthouses shinning against the dark storms of life
Rebels dare not think of consequences- or Salvations’ living rife
All structures have given way to Iron and Clay, biblically foretold
Servants to time, and the dollar, few friends can be found with gold

Please tell me what you think

Accurate dissection of an ignorant, unfeeling world, reflecting its sad state. It has wandered away from The Light and does not know it needs it desperately, thinking quite the opposite. Iron for machines of war, clay for all desires of the flesh. Objecting these things is vehemently ridiculed today by the utter lack of awareness of what beings molded from clay truly need to live a meaningful life. Thank you for creating and sharing. May The Light flood you with all good things belonging to The Light and protect you against the assaults of the dark.
