You were the one that opened my eyes,
to all that was beautyfull, and kind.
You stood beside me as I fell.
Trying your hardest to help me back up again.
I have put my life into your hands.
Hopeing you would be the one to help me out the most.
You took my trust and held it tight.
Watching me as I struggled through my life,
and helped me through it all.
Your the one that opened my eyes to what love really is,
the only one that could make me feel beautyfull again.
When for so long I felt ugly and hide behind the house walls.
To afraid to come out into the light,
making it difficult for me to live my life.
I thank you for opening my eyes.
If it wasn't for you,
I proubly would be were I am today.
I know I might not be the most perfect person in the world.
But you kept me going in the darkest time of my life,
and I can't think you for that.
You opened my eyes.
For that I can not think you enough,
for pulling me back out, in this time of need.
To keep me from getting lost in my darkness.

This is so lovely "To keep me from getting lost in my darkness" is my favourite line- I think most people have been lucky enough to have had a friend or relationship that has pulled them through when they thought nobody could so it's a poem all can relate to. I also love the line "You took my trust and held it tight" The repitition of the letter T really makes this line stand out. A great poem xx
