Fragile petals
caressed with violet’s
regal hue
drip fragrant dew
from weeping blooms

great
you made something that was so very short and yet so very beautiful -
Picked to read because the orchid is my favourite flower. I think you catch it's simple beauty perfectly in this simple poem. The orchid is enough to stand alone, uncomplicated and yet breathtaking. "weeping blooms" yes, the shape of the orchid is similar to the shape of a tear. Well expressed.

Gorgeous work here. Your words echo the delicate beauty of an orchid so well...I think this is my favorite poem in the contest. Best of luck winning it!

This was really beatutiful and the wordings were just wonderful, even if it's so short, I can't believe that I like this.. I usually like poems that are longer, but not that long.. and yet this poem is really short! ^^; Beautiful job!
Thank you for commenting on my poem, "Arctic Breeze."
