Heavens brightest star
Grey clouds are over cast on a sad, sorrowful day,
to watch a loved one depart with only goodbye’s left to say.
Many hearts are broken and just can’t accept the truth,
of a life being taken, so young - an eternal youth!
As the tears of sadness flow freely from your hearts,
in life you were together but in death you'll never part
The memories will be yours, when your body becomes weak,
to offer solace and smiles that the grieving shall always seek!
On the clearest night in autumn look to heavens brightest star,
Even though he is not with you, he shall never be too far.
In your heart carry him; never give up on the love - you shared,
He'll always be there to hold your hand, when you’re lost and scared.
So grieve for him today and smile for him tomorrow,
Let In your pain, and you’ll feel his love, in this eternal sorrow.
Never give up on him because he’ll always be -close by,
He’ll wipe all your tears away, each and every time you cry.
I know it is hard to let go of a life that once shone,
Nurtured, cherished, loved and now it’s gone
But it doesn't have to be the end of it and I hope you’ll see,
That his body is no longer here, but his soul now flies free.

This reminds me very much of a book im reading at the moment... only he was a good kid gone bad... killed breaking into someone else coz he loved his mother so much he wanted to support her addictions. Beautifully written... there are so many great poets on here but only so many poems that touch your heart in such a way.

Beautiful words Talia, but oh so sad. I hope I am wrong in thinking who this might be about
Haven't spoke to you in ages - we keep missing each other online. We have been so busy with circus workshops and shows and the shop and tons of other things happening around us that I haven't been on here as much as I'd like.
Beautiful poem anyway - excellently written.
