It was a spring day
sun was shining
birds were chirping
shoppers wandering aimlessly about
You caught my eye
You were wearing a green dress
and black fishnet stockings
and legs that seemed not to end
Everyone was watching you as you waited to cross the road
We went about our business
Next day I saw you again
You have such a beautiful smile
We started talking
You gave me your name and number
Later I called
We met at eight
Once again you were wearing a green dress
We chatted over dinner and coffee
your eyes seemed to sparkle like diamonds
We discovered we both loved dolphins
and agreed to meet again next day
to take a trip to Sea World
I took you home
then I watched you as you went inside
My heart was pounding like a drum
I knew then that I would make you mine
I drove on home and later in bed
I dreamt of you
and that green dress
