Broken Heart

BROKEN HEART

Her heart was shattered into a million pieces
Tears flowed uncontrollably to the floor
With every breath she took it seemed to suffocate her
The pain was excruciating and drove her mad
She searched endlessly for a way out
A bright light that she once saw in her time of despair
But, there was no one there to hold her
To calm the trembling in her heart
She fell to her knees and said a silent prayer
In hopes that the insurmountable heartache would subside
