I shake the hands of all of you,
I choke back the tears of parting.
Spouting a farewell to our kinship,
While the curtain calls are starting.
We enter as we were told
We bow once more for the last.
Acting out the farewell to our kinship,
Saying goodbye to those precious laughs.
They watch as the lights die down,
They applaud our efforts and talent.
While we utter silent farewells to kinship,
The hardest anguish to lament.
We exit from that wonderful place,
We immerge into a lonley night.
Regreting those farewells to kinship.
This peace and quiet a terrible blight.
I now sit here lost in memory,
I sip uncaringly from my drink.
Remembering all farewells to kinship,
And how they pulled me from the brink.
