blank paper files
& bent paperclips lie beneath
broken cabinets-
sand coated futures
seep passage through
breaches inside to find
nothing but
those ripped
peices of the wafer thin substances-
those dirty rat feedings.
(they supposedly isolate themselves
into shitholes)
they still
dwell but continue
to surmount nightmares of
the
broken office supplies-
into the paradise
that hid clandestinely
of ocean swept beuaty
& trees swaying from winds
of 50mph.
alas,
they arrive.
who ever said they
wouldn't
make it?

(sry for commenting back, i know it gets annoying when judging,)but it's like the office supplies are boring & hopeless, & sand is so different that they can't see to adjust to the enviroment. so, they create their own world, without the others, & they just stay at their state of "normalcy." if this doesn't help, i apologize about the poem i'm sure it's confusing. the metaphor is very deep i think people would have to think about it, but great contest anyways!
