go power rangers comes the shout from the hall
sword in hand cape on back ready to tackle all
smile broad and imagination running wild
with thrusts leaps and shouts thats my child
i watch from the doorway and laugh so much, what fun
the innocent mind racing wild, always at a run
the latest monsters and bad guys are no match
for, his brain the next wonderful plan will hatch
come on guys is the next shout, we will get the monster out
lots of joyful waheys and plenty of shouts
with his red power ranger suit, to long in leg and arm
on his feet flash his spiderman wellies, what a charm
power ranger morphin phone is next in play
pointed to the cieling the change is on the way
my son is like this every day in his play
oh what fun to be four years old today

Back for a second look. What wonderful childhood memories you have written about.

This is such a heartfelt write about your son. I too write poems for and about my daughter Jasmine. Great rhythm and flow. It brought back memories of my older sons when they were young. Good luck in the contest and thanks for entering
