Remember Me?

Don't you remember me?
I'm standing here,
Feeling as if I don't exist,
Feeling as if I'm fading.

Don't you remember me?
That lost love of high school,
Dreaming of a chance that
She'll spend her whole life waiting.

Don't you remember me?
I'm the promise of tomorrow.
The taste of the future is
Ripe on our tongue.

Don't you remember me?
The survivor of a fight.
A broken mother who will forever wish
His father hadn't won.

So sad, such a tragic situation to be in. Liked the flow, and the sentiments you have expressed so well in these lines.

    Wow!

This piece almost leaves you speechless.
What a tragic subject to deal with.
So many of us can relate to this poem
on so many levels. Feeling forgotten and
alone like a ghost. Having to deal with
the pain of the past alone.
