A Little Yellow Flower

A little yellow flower bloomed
from a tiny green shrub
Its nectar sweet as honey
and beautiful in its symmetry

you walked past in your high heeled boots
oblivious to the beauty that surrounded
crushed the flower on the sidewalk
with your toes

the bees mourned their loss.

I do love short, simple, meaningful poetry. Great stuff. Poor flower though.

    Love it.

Very pretty. And I'm 'down' with the alternative meaning, even if its not what you thought, I got something......

    Beautiful. Pretty flowers.........mmmmm
