The Girl Who Doesn’t Know
She’s walking around like a zombie
Everyone says she’s lovely
She cries silently inside
No-one knows she’s so lonely
She’s tied together with a smile
But, at night it fades
She breaks down
And sighs, cries, dies.
And she doesn’t tell anyone
That she’s coming undone
She is dying in the rain
Where is the sun?
No-one knows why
Or how it happened
But, wait a minute
The rain’s starting to slacken
She just now realized
How lovely it is
To be the pretty one
But, not the only one.
Unfortunately, it took
Way too long
For her to find out
Why so long?
She thought she was
The ugly duckling
Like in the movies
In reality, she was changing
