The getting, the using,
and the getting more.
The worries, the fear,
the pain and the despair.
Brick by brick you build a wall,
with no windows or doors.
The darkness sets in, and your
soul is sucked right out of you.
You are trapped by guilt,
enslaved by sins.
Surrounded by demons,
smelling the devil's breath.
With flashes of suicide,
all meaning of life is gone.
Taken by the pipe, Crack Cocaine,
has left you lost and lonely.
Your family pays the price,
selp-pity hold you captive.
Your empty soul sits in despair,
verbally lost you suffocate.
Author notes

Excellent testimonial. First it is awesome that you have been clean for two years, second this is a good poem for many others to read. Some to show hope and others to show the way it can be during.
