dark blanket paints the sky
black and white poke a dots
some larger than the rest
i've counted the stars
a million times
waiting for you to come home
i've spoken to God
he knows where i stand
i hope he knows his que
did he take my call?
did he hear all my words
is he even up there at all?
only ten legal months
til the road finds its end
i'll be searching devotedly
i carried you in my womb
i chose the pain
you were my gift of life
and i love you still
Please tell me what you think

sweet and a thoughtful write this is. unselfishness written all over this piece and the words fit so well. a lovely poem indeed.

This was a very "internal" write. Deeply emotional and reaching it delivers impact and your words linger after the read. Excellent penning

the road finds its end...
Wonderful writing! I have read between the lines poet... I feel your pain and your wish for the journey to reach its end.
Stay strong and take care!

Oh mom, I didn't realise it was so close.
I'm with you when you need it, you'll be reunited I just know it. This is a great poem, and as for God being up there, I think that's a matter of the heart, I'm still trying to figure it out too! I wish you well, I love you and the fact you still have your love PROVES you'll find them no matter what.

Bandaid.
