Wow, this is beautiful and very heartfelt.
It's a terrible feeling to lose a best friend.
Sometimes when things go wrong and years later
you meet, the feelings change. You wish so much
to have a conversation with your old pal but,
something deep inside of you tells you not to.
Your fear and hesitation start to overcome you
and you never get a chance to reconcile and tell
them how you really feel. Best friends are like
family and no matter what, you will never forget
them.
I think you did a great job with this one! Thanks

Omg...I know exactly where you're coming from. I had to deal with that too. I felt the same way you were feeling about losing a best friend. Yeah...for like a year, I was a wreck. I was blaming myself for everything; saying I was a bad friend; I even lost myself! But eventually I got over the whole situation and we even became friends again (although we won't EVER be as close as we used to *sigh*)! I kind of am happy for the whole ordeal because I gained 5 fabulous friends (we call ourselves the FabFive) and a couple of really close guy friends. And now I'm happier than I was with the best friend. But you know what I think? I think that if you and your best friend are no longer friends, then that friendship wasn't meant to last. I mean that in general, especially in my situation where my friendship was lost over a guy! Tsk, tsk!
But anyway, about the poem. It was great. Wonderful. Filled with everything a sad poem should be. Great flow, rhyme scheme etc. Just great write!

This piece was packed full of emotions and I loved it because I understand what you mean. It is funny how sometimes, when you lose a best friend, it seems like a breakup with an exboyfriend. You want them to pay you back the 5 dollars you lent them last week, you want your cd's back, and you want the shorts(I hope my boyfriend never borrows my shorts...lol...) that they took without asking. LOL! I have been dealing with this lately...lost a sort of best friend...she was trying to ruin my life without my realization for months...all of the rumors that have put stress on my life were created by her. I'm angry about that...but you move on. LOL! Good luck with the friendship. If it is meant to revive, it will.
