When entertaining easy options think
each step leads on to better or to worse, -
victory, defeat for heart or purse
depends upon the ways these choices link.
Conformity is self-defeat. Don’t sink
to common mediocrity – a curse !
Open mind to others, share, converse.
Refuse to blindly toe the line, but ink
in all life’s pages proudly, never shrink.
Another day, another challenge, - nurse
patience, judgement bias free, disburse
understanding, deep from shared spring drink.
The door towards serenity ahead
enjoy, - dark envy, censure, never dread ...

Thought Provoking
I applaud anyone who suggests one think through the 'easy options' in an endeavour to see and make informed choices about consequences that might occur from one's actions or non-actions. I appreciate the rhythm and the encouragement to be true to oneself that it offers. I see a recognition of the enjoyment one can experience in challenging apathy. Deeply insightful of differing human experiences. -
As this poem shouted how important the need to be individual is to me when I read it, it was very individual as a work as well.
Great message and penmanship.
I've honeslty got nothing bad to say about it
Great great piece. -
A great piece on the importance of standing up and being different... You have definitely struck a chord in that there is nothing in life so honorable as a person who will be that light surrounded by such darkness and shady gray.

Were you reading my mind again, Jonathan? I will take these words and write them on my heart. I love the wisdom of your soul.

This is great, very well penned, thanks for the enjoyable read.

This is a great poem! The flow reminds me of shakespeares (now that i look, it is a sonnet) I like it very much though!
Goodjob

keep writing till your mind has died -
Each day presents itself as as blank slate with us filling in that page with whatever we do. That door is open and we can choose to do whatever we like - take whatever path we feel will benefit us. Liked this sonnet and the sentiments you express in these lines. Interesting that you have put this in life's philosophy section, but that is also true.

clear, meaningful, and good sound
This is all very good advice here, well written.

I liked that you could mix two different bits together. Questions and philosophy; but I suppose they are one in the same, depending on how you see life. Very well written and I like the sonnet layout as well, particularly fits here.
