Compassed.

Like quickened silver my eyes catch
a falling star falling behind the trees.
With ease I rest my mind.
Gravity has not yet escaped me.
With great granite bearings I am weighed down.
Though the world spins, I remain still.
Silent. Moving accordingly with the universe.
Though I am a small speck of creation, I am here.

There is a rhythm to the churning waterfalls.
To the streams that flow into lakes, to rivers,
to oceans. Following the ebb and flow of the moon.
Navigating my way through seas of stars.
With ease I rest my mind.
My sense of belonging has not escaped me.
With great wooden oars I paddle my boat.
Though the waves fall over me, I remain still.
Silent. Moving accordingly with the universe.
Though I am a small speck of creation, I am here.

Congrats on the trophy, shiney and green like. Goo job with the poem, especially for a quickie, its very good, unlike mine and others which are inherently quickeynessly you seem to have mustered the ability to write something worth reading which is cool. I noticed a common motif in a lot of your pieces as of late, gravity, any particular reason, or is that advanced physics class finally just sinking into you from last semester?

Thanks Seanny. Means lots to me that you commented on this piece. Hmm I've actually never taken a physics class but you know me with my elemental moon, stars, and water....
