Her

they always say that the light will cancel out the darkness
why is it then that the darkness inside of me always wins
it fills my lungs with it's venom and suffocates the light inside
is it the sadness i felt when my heart stopped beating and
it's pieces shattered into moondust?
or was it when i simply surrendered?

looking back, it seemed easier to give in
to just walk away from the light and
dive into the depths of her shadow
i wanted to to encircle myself with her laughter
feel her warmth radiate onto me

it was a silly dream to have and
one that tore apart my soul
luckily i had my dancing butterflies to neatly stitch it back together
but still the sadness seeps through the stitches
leaving me to immerse myself once more into that dream

thoughts of her still imprinted in my polaroid memory
every snap shot another moment spent with her
memories that never were and never will be mine
for she denied me and my heart

and now all i have are the broken images and seeping wounds....

    hey .. I haven't written for christ knows how long .. i've missed you heaps Fern .. oh oh .. I'm married now haha .. and have three kids .. okay kidding ..anyway .. i miss you heaps .. you're mojo will come back .. this is a beautiful write kitten pie .. I don't even remember the emoticon thingo's on this place !!!

    Long time no see Fern! I may be The Axe Shall Fall now but you probably know me better as Zakk! I stopped writing fro a long time but there is no such thing as losing your muse it is a state of mind not a physical affliction! So get back onto the allpoetry bandwagon because i miss having new things from my favoutites! So many things to say about the poem can't out them all because there would be no time! I loved the line "luckily i had my dancing butterflies to neatly stitch it back together". If you ever did lose your muse then i think it is back with avengeance!

    Do you know i still have your picture and drawings on my fridge and it makes me smile all the time - with this huge pink rug wrapped around your neck

    Loved this daff, felt this - the wounds do heal as long as we dont keep picking them back open...so dont make me smack your hand

      thankyou Galf! you really have my pics etc on your fridge?? yayyyyyyyy! awesome! I still have the photos you sent of the cows in my albumn!!! anddddd i still have the christmas decoration in my room at homeeeee!!!! I booked my flight! I have 2 stops in the US and then toronto then onto saskatchewen! I am in toronto for around 3 hrs!
