The Adventures of Kitty and E-Too

M.J. is seven years old and his sister Jacqui is six years old.
They are very happy.  They each received bunnies for Easter.
M.J. named his bunny Kitty because, he said, "it looks like a kitty."
Jacqui named her bunny E-Too because, she was thankful for her E-Too bunny.
Kitty is a light brown colored rabbit and E-Too is a snowy white rabbit.
The family is in the backyard.
The children's father is building a hutch, for Kitty and E-Too to live,
when the weather is nice outside.
Kitty and E-Too will live inside the house, when the weather is bad outside.
M.J. and Jacqui go into the house to get some lunch,
while Kitty and E-Too are in the backyard hopping around,
as the father is hard at work.
The father hasn't noticed, the children have gone into the house.
Kitty and E-Too are hopping and eating clover in the yard near the fence.
Kitty noticed a hole in the fence and crawled through.  E-Too followed along,
that's what brothers and sisters do, even in the rabbit world.
They play together and don't always get along.
They try their best to help each other.
Kitty and E-Too came to a brook and decided they needed a drink.
All the clover they ate made them thirsty.
"M.J.!  Jacqui!"  Their father yelled.
"I'm finished with the rabbit hutch.
Please bring Kitty and E-Too outside, and we'll see if they like what we've done."
Suddenly, without saying a word, the children began to cry.
"What's wrong?"  Their parents asked.  "We didn't bring the bunnies inside."
The children said through their sobs.
"It's okay, we'll look for them, and we'll find them, you'll see.
The rabbits are small and they haven't been gone long.
Have faith and believe we'll find them."  Their mother said.
Meanwhile, Kitty and E-Too found an old barn in a field.
Kitty said to E-Too, "let's go see what's in there."
E-Too said, "I don't know Kitty, it doesn't look very safe.
There are boards missing from the side of the barn,
with a hole in the roof and the sliding frontdoor is off the track."
"Where is your sense of adventure?"  Kitty asked.
Kitty turned and entered the barn through a hole in the side.
E-Too noticed a grasshopper jumping in the tall grass.
She became scared and ran inside the frontdoor.
Kitty saw sharp tools hanging on the wall.
The mice in the corner didn't bother him.
Kitty crawled into the horse's stall and saw a big spider in the web on the window.
E-Too is beginning to feel lonely, she hasn't seen Kitty in the barn yet.
Kitty is hiding on her behind a bale of hay in the loft.
E-Too climbs the rickety stairs that lead up to the loft.
Just as E-Too reaches the top of the stairs,
Kitty leaped out from behind the bale of hay.
E- Too was frightened and mad at the same time.
E-Too chased Kitty around in the loft, over the hay,
around some barrels and finally into a corner.
Quickly E-Too's ears stood straight up.  "What!"  Kitty demanded to know.
"Be still and listen."  E-Too said.  Now Kitty is beginning to worry.
He doesn't hear what E-Too hears.  "Kitty, do you hear that?"
"Don't fool around like that E-Too, it's not funny."
All of a sudden Kitty heard it also.
Here Kitty!  Here E-Too!  Here Kitty!  Here E-Too!
They could hear people calling their names.
E-Too ran outside with Kitty right behind her.
They jumped up into the waiting arms of M.J. and Jacqui.
The whole family was happy to have Kitty and E-too back home again.
