As I walk along this lonely beach, I think of you
The sky is blue like it was the day we first met
The waves are tranquil and cool to the touch
I wish that you were here to share this moment with me
Loneliness engulfs me all at once
As the tide makes its way back to the sandy shore
Seagulls glide and float through the air
Leaving me breathless and in awe
A trail of footprints is set before me
I sit down on the sand and begin to reminisce
I wonder if you ever think about me where you are
High above all of the sadness and pain that I feel
I miss you so much and I hope that you know that
I would do anything to have you back in my life
You were my best friend and first love
I will never get over losing you
I want you to know that I still carry you with me
And with every beat of my heart it's so clear
I'll never be the same without you in my life
If I only had one wish today, I wish that you were here
