The folk who live on giants

The folk who live on giants
are like boys and girls in size
and when set upon a giant
they appear like tiny flies,
though they feel themselves colossal
when beheld by giant eyes.

The folk who live on giants
have all they need to strive.
They work away as busily
as bees in any hive
and each one has a task to do
as they struggle to survive.

Some venture up the giant’s nose
in search of snotty glue;
a dangerous assignment
for the nose hairs they pass through
can tickle in the giant’s nose
and cause an a tich oo!

The glue is used to make the clothes
the giant dwellers wear
with clothes cut out of dandruff flakes
found in the giants’s hair
and tents of dandruff canvas
are used as houses there.

There’s some go foraging for food
caught in the giant’s beard
or stuck between the giant’s teeth
which is a job much feared
for the dread saliva tidal wave
and the crushy, toothy spears.

Giants fingernails and toenails
are used for saws and shears.
Their candles are made of wax
dug from the giant’s ears
and they even have a saltpan
which they fill with giant tears.

The folk who live on giants
owe their sweet and pleasant lives
to the existence of their giants
and all that makes them wise.
And they love their giant dearly
which comes as no surprise.
