Capturing a kiss from a loved one
As it's blown across your way
Reaching out for a ray of sunlight
On a radiant summer day
Hearing a child’s laughter
And seeing their very first smile
Waiting excitedly for their return
Always going that extra mile
Autumn leaves falling everywhere
Crunching under your feet
Winter branches almost bare
Watching from a parkside seat
Snowflakes melting on your face
Softly covering the ground
Disappearing as fast they fall
Glistening white around
Moments in life we wish to keep
So fleeting don’t always last
Memories are what we have alone
In the present and the past.

Wonderful
Memories are what we have alone
In the present and the past
How true that one's memories can keep them going, and they are the only one who knows it. Beautiful write!
