"Don't feed the Goldfish",
The sign said to the man,
To give a goldfish food,
Would deviate their simple plan.
Instigation of a leader,
A golden pond dw'lling fish,
Mastication in a fever,
would distort this simple wish.
Leave the fish to starve today,
To focus simple minds,
Swim in circles, pretend to play,
yet secretly bide your time,
A yellow fish uprising,
In aquaria of rebel hue,
The koi, the carp, subsiding,
The frogspawn overthrew.
"Don't feed the Goldfish"
A line a little trite,
the eternal question being,
where did a goldfish learn to write?

Thats cute I like the ending:
"Don't feed the Goldfish"
A line a little trite,
the eternal question being,
where did a goldfish learn to write?
Thats a very cute poem. Good luck in the contest!
