Wings of the Wind

Sullen and swift is the wind.
It goes in one cranny and flows back
out of many crooks.
It is comfortable among the weeping willows
and may even make its' home
in the waters that run
deep in the earth.
It gives rise to new...
seeds of wildflowers and it
also flows through my
long brown hair.
The wind is the rainbow of all souls,
they ride it like kings and queens
of the invisible kingdom.
One day, you will join them.
That day, much peace and happiness
you will find.
Please flow sullenly and swiftly
through my long brown hair.

I like the way you have used natural earthy colours until you include the rainbow where there is theis royalty of beauty and colour. just becasuse you cannot see the wind does not mean that it is not colourful like a rainbow. very beautiful. i quite like th free verse here like random blowing of the wind, subtle and yet has meaning. a good imitation well done.

"It is comfortable among the weeping willows
and may even make its' home
    in the waters that run
    deep in the earth."

This was my favorite image that the windcannot be stopped by the ground
deep in to the earth so rich lovely language.
I also like the way you linked the last two lines waters that run, deep in to the earth that is music wow. just love it.

    "It gives rise to new...
    seeds of wildflowers and it"

I like the effect of this pause It gives the reader a rest to take in all the beautiful words you have said and it strangly links together too. great job.

I like the way you added kings and queens to this that everyone is royal if they have the wind. a treasure beyond money. if you have the wind you are rich. yes i like this poem alot. well done
    good luck

This is one of my favorites ... I love that image of souls riding the wind and blowing through the hair of the living ... it's such a beautiful thought ... like what the nature of eternity really is
