Sleepless in Fear or Joy

Fears of things beyond control
Hold my eyelids and my soul;
I pray the Lord that He would keep,
But then I keep, and lose my sleep;

Joys from above elate my heart,
All that’s in store and set apart;
I’m inspired to put them in words,
They rush at me like poetic herds.

    A unique piece you have penned for this contest. None as of yet have taken such a path as this one that you have. Excellent, flow, form and rhyme. Thank you for entering and good luck!
