I thought it was too good to be true
I was scared to say it back
So there was no "I love you too"
Now it was my turn
To not recieve the I love you
Even though you said it
I don't believe it's true.
When I said I love you
I meant it everytime
And I still do
But now you are not mine
I miss the days when we wouldn't fight
Now my heart is broken
I've not let go of any memory
I think about them every night.
How come you never believed me?
I meant that I love you
I always will
And I still do.
You always said
"The best part of believe is the lie"
But I promised you time after time
That I will never speak any lies.
You promised me you wouldn't hurt yourself
You promised me she wouldn't get in our way
Those promises are broken
My heart is even more broken.
Will you please come back
Will you take away the pain?
Please let my wounds heal
Just let it all be taken away.
I knew when I was lying in your bed
That there was something else in your head
And I knew that you weren't thinking of me
But I didn't let go; I just closed my eyes and fell asleep.
I knew at one point in our relationship
You did actually love me
But now my heart is breaking
From the promises you've broken.
The one promise I've ever made
Was that I promise I'll always love you
And I'll be there for you no matter what
Day after day.
Now my skies has turned to gray
All I ever wanted was for you to stay
My heart is shattered
And I wonder if that even matters...
