It came as no shock,
when out of the darkness came Beldontè,
my mightiest general, in my dark army.
without haste, he sweeps across the stone floor,
standing in front of me, bows quickly, "My Lord".
"Rise and speak", I said to him,
"tell me of the news, that rages from within."
"Your orders have been set, the armies now sent,
divided among the cities, to Cordova I went.
There is a slayer, in the midst of the town,
I'm sad to say, he has slayed all your people down."
Anger fills my mind, hatred in my eyes,
clenching my fist, the slayer must die!
Dismissing Beldontè, then sitting on my throne,
I'll deal with this slayer, but I will do it alone.
