I Lie Awake

I'm lying here
Shedding tears for someone too shallow to care

I'll lie awake for years to come
Wondering if you're awake wishing I were there

I'll be the one
Who never makes it to prom, too scared to be alone, our love is gone

What seemed so real
left me feeling, needing to be loved

Dreams, They're there but only in thought
Too far away to be true

So I'll lie awake
Thinking and forever hurting...Because of You.
