Love is Confusing

He loved his girlfriend,
Or so he said,
He'd go to the end of the Earth,
Until he was dead.

He kissed her and loved her,
With so much compassion,
He'd get her everything she wanted,
With no ration.

So one quiet morning,
While watching the dew
He had a gift.
(She had no clue)

So he pulled out a small velvet box,
And went down on one knee
Took one deep breath and said...
"Will you marry me?"

"Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes!"
She squeeled into his ear,
He grabbed her up into his arms,
and gave her a look oh so dear.

The months flew past,
and they got married,
In her white flowing dress,
into the house he carried.

They went on a honey moon,
then had a kid,
They loved their life,
and everything they did,

Then one day,
The man wasn't smart,
His wife found out,
about his sinful art.

"How could you do this to me,
and our child!?
I shall leave you know!"
She riled.

He smirked and laughed.
"She is just a toy,
I don't love her like you"
He said casully with a hint of joy.

She grabbed their son,
and  duffel bag,
He shook his head
then grabbed a rag.

He bound her tightly,
She tried to fight,
He was too strong
and tied her tight.

He clenched his fists,
and beat her blue,
She told him to stop
or else she'll sue.

"I love you"
He coed
And held her close
and sadly she never ever sued.

This sad life
went on 8 more years,
when she couldn'd take it
and he had too many beers.

She found an ax,
and chopped her love to shreads.
Everything was ripped
he was hanging by threads.

The last hit was the final blow.
The cops came by to check it out
She was in a heap.
What was she mumbling about?

The poor girl was arrested,
And testified.
Said he abused her!
The jury thought she lied.

She was sentenced to life.
And no one understood.
Why the sweet couple
Went under the hood.

No one will know
that she was beat,
I know life's not fair,
As we face defeat.
