Face to face, sharing breath,
lips murmur and touch
light like feather touching;
capturing lips in lips.
Restlessly she turns
and I pour warm breath on her neck
and whispers against her cheek;
lying constant.
Talk of navels, fingers, days gone by,
lashes and lids flutter,
faces redden and wash;
time, sweet echoes of time.
Laying in untruth,
for I never tell her
how I would give anything asked
for these precious moments.

such perfect sentiments here...
such a poem reminds me of how often in life we 'edge' up to the words we'd love to say to perhaps let someone become even closer to our hears (and to open our hearts more despite the chance taken in revealing ourselves).
there is so much universal value in this for your readers with so many rich experiences in love and life that we are fortunate enough to experience...
lovely indeed.

This is such a soft and precious moment.
"and I pour warm breath on her neck"
I really like that line.
Best wishes in the contest,
Stacy

So soft and gentle ... a moment between two lovers
"Face to face, sharing breath,
lips murmur and touch
light like feather touching;
capturing lips in lips."
Really enjoyed this!
Best of luck in the contest!

Very romantic and splendid write!
Wonderfully expressed.

It is so perfectly ended...
Those most important thoughts, held back;
maybe in fear of not being reciprocated.
This speaks volumes in a soft, fluttering cadence.

This is a beauty of a write, that final stanza is perfection in itself...a perfect cadence. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest. Laura x
