Stolen Moments

I know you love me baby, in a hundred different ways
a ‘hello, darlin’ in the mornin’ fills my day’s bouquet,
and all day long, in quiet moments, I can hear the words,
‘I love you, baby,’ ‘tis the sweetest sound I’ve ever heard.

One look from you is all it takes to send me to the moon,
a silent grin, a tender kiss, we slow dance to your tune,
a bluesy sound, you hold me close, your hands run down my hips,
I feel an urgent pounding, touch taut grooves with fingertips.

I’m mesmerized by your blue eyes, warm breath upon my skin,
my neck, my cheeks, my eyes, my lips, my skin burns where you’ve been,
you pick me up and carry me, your charms I can’t refuse
My arms are tight around you, lost amidst love’s lusty hues.

Your head upon my belly, then your lips start to explore,
your hands arouse me, darlin’, and I’m begging you for more,
the earth moves when you touch me and your candle burns inside
the deepest part of we fulfilled, I love you, love our ride.

Must read, this should be a classic

Romantic and classy. Flows so well, the words wrapped around this reader, like a warm fuzzie blanket on a cold winter's night. Your images here, jump start the imagination and let it flow wherever it carries one. These encounters with our significant other, carry us through all the rough spots of day to day living. Thanks for making my Saturday, a little brighter. Beautiful work, brought out the hopeless romantic in me. God Bless You and family, hope the Home front is still going well? Beautiful background, like old handmade lace and bead work. Really places your poem in a special time frame for me the reader. Keep penning! Never disappointed when I get to read here! Excellent work!

ahh! I really like this, its romantic and it creates a warm fuzzy feeling... its easy to write about stuff that you hate, but its rare that people can find the right words to say, and explain how they feel...- I really enjoyed reading this, thanx for sharing!!

I love the smooth down-home style of your writing. This is simply worded and yet so sensuous. You have a certain charm in all your poems which make them so enjoyable to read. I can see the happiness in these people's lives and feel the joy they experience just being together. Great writing.

Now this is interesting - rhyming sensuality that didn't bore me or make me laugh. This pulled me into the mood, set a scene for me in my mind. Had me thinking some really warm and fuzzy, yet terribly impure thoughts. And that, my dear, is when you know you have written a good poem. I wasn't aroused by the words themselves, but by the vibe that came from them. I was impressed is my point. I apologize for rambling all over the place.

    'i love our ride'
and is love just that no? a ride, and a crazy one at that. wi' all the passion nd then heat, intertwinde wi' th sweet nd not so sweet moments, love is balanceing our needs wi' anothers, and seeing where each new moment will take us. ye do it well ye know, write of love, tis as watching a freeze frame unfold before mi eyes, and the sweetest love.... sung in low timber blues.

Not sure, but from the title, I'd say something about forbidden fruit and how glorious it tastes. Perhaps it's the danger surrounding it, or perhaps its more of the awareness of how special things are that tend to get lost in the day-to-day settings. Either way, the write is one of beauty and sensous expression of desires that leaves the reader envious!

    The scented secret essence burns,
    Nightwinds call and passion turns,
Into a deep and secret prayer,
Of touch and taste, caress and care.

    The heart becoms a radio,
A gentle song so soft and low,
The very music of the spheres,
    For rapture never disappears.

Within a song that knew not sound.
    Truley all of wonder found.
The silken weight of passion spent,
That finds the wanting heart content.

Drink the wine of the mountainside,
The laughing stream she could not hide,
The burning flame that not consume,
And all the roses as they bloom.

Sigh (those were the days). As they say in Minnesota, "Yah, sure. You betcha." The population increases by a point or two every September, as the winters tend to drive people inside, if you know what I mean. This poem exhales, every so trembling it nearly holds and caresses the moments themselves, giving them life. Collapse. What's my name? Another fun one (enjoyed). ET

    WONDERFUL.

Not entirely sure what I can add to the show of praise thus far, but I really feel I have to give /something/.

Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. I don't think I could possibly change a *thing*. You've got amazing language, full of imagery; your diction is all but flawless. I love the alliterations, the way you can be almost tongue-tied while reading it aloud, as though having that heart-pounding feeling one gets when alone with a lover.

Definitely sensual. The rhyme and metre are positively brilliant, and I really enjoyed it, top to bottom.

Nice - romantic without being vomit inducing, sexy without being embarassing. Well done. I particularly liked the line:
"a ‘hello, darlin’ in the mornin’ fills my day’s bouquet"

    Take care & best wishes.

MMMMM....I agree with Mary Ann this is also my favorite line:

"my neck, my cheeks, my eyes, my lips, my skin burns where you’ve been,"

Delicious image Becky...thanks for reminding me what two people in love can share...on a daily basis.

The fire became beacon,in the colors of its gleaming,
A scarlet sword of irredecent hue.
She hears hisphrases spoken, as one dreaming.
    Of a prophecy coming true.

Come as wewalk through the seam of cration,
    Into consensual uncertaintees
Carry your case to the court of the last resort,
A cross road of all dstinees

Something about a man calling me Darlin..and not darling...that just makes me weak.

"my neck, my cheeks, my eyes, my lips, my skin burns where you’ve been,"
