Soul Steps

Missing image

Pastoral poems privately penned upon the paths,
strolling the scenic serenity's serenade
song birds soothing so softly,
as the journey into awareness
opens the mind to floral strings
playing their tangential melodies
upon one's sensory violin.

Wind carries evergreen aroma
beguiling with whiffs of piney allure,
seeping into lungs
lifting life to lilting heights
undressing the garment of worry
worn while wandering concrete's walkways.

Leafy fingers dance their fern ballet
to the rhythm of a breeze's swaying symphony
draping its harmony over the pores,
eyes transfixed by the inner tale felt
inspiring a flush of intense waves
possessing the purest peace.

Paradise's enchanting broom
sweeps away the dust of despair,
hints of hope hold the soul,
along the steps of a stroll
between swimming sorrow's stream
and bathing in faith's life giving pool.
