Lily lily let me bee.

Missing image
You are my flower,
I am your bee,
Open your petals,
Just for me,
Sing to me the song you sang,
I will sing with you and dance,
Lily darling hold me tight,
let me be with you...inside,
let me suck the nectar there,
I will make the honey dear,
I know you will like my sweet,
Love is all I want, I need.
do not be afraid of me,
Sting is just to make me bee,
I will never hurt you silly,
I am your bee and you are my lily.

    such a beautiful play on words and meanings. to think of the bee saying the same things to the flower as a man might say to a woman, and be after the same thing! Very good job on this write, i hope to see more like this. thank you for sharing

    This brought to my mind a children's song, "Friends are like flowers, beautiful flowers, friends are like flowers, in the garden of life". The Lily is truly blessed to have such a devoted Bee. The metaphor here is as sweet as the image used...that all of those we love bring sweetness to our life...another lovely poem, Ahkam. Peace to you, Rhonda
