Graffiti paints the bathroom walls
and lets the world
wear its heart on a sleeve
of concrete and cold stone.
Equality promises the same for everyone
even though the potential for actual
fair play
has been ruined by man.
Potential doesn't spell success.
Signs on every street corner
teach us how to get along
while high school students come up with
how many points you get
if you run over a crippled pedestrian
and leave his shoes
on the road.
Sharing is Caring,
what irony from a country
that doesn't have the morals
a heart deserves.
Freedom doesn't exist
except in paint
which masks the truth and replaces it
with lies.
Death is painted in black and white...
this at least is true -
for you're either dead
or forsaken.

Have read some of those messages in bathroom stalls - nothing that you'd want to share with anyone is there? Think morality has hit an all time low - and just keeps on sinking deeper every day. Somewhere, some how, morals have to be raised so that we treat each other as we want to be treated, and go from there. No one seems to care about anyone but themselves these days - is that why they are called the we generation? Liked the flow and message you share in these lines - hits home.
