What are memories?
Where are they stored?
Where are the memories
of a child who died and has been reborn?
Does stardust have a memory?
Could interstellar space tell the stories of a million lives
of those who live and those who have died?
Who remembers
when a child recalls another life?
Is there a difference between the soul they are now
and the soul they were in a past life?
What are memories?
What exactly remembers our lives?
We may always remember,
but what if the memories we have don't seem to be a part of our lives?
What are memories?
How can you search for something that can't be visibly seen?
Where are the memories?
Does stardust have a memory and if so, what does it mean?
Please tell me what you think

Hmmmmmmm!
I agree with you. in a way when i read your poems, it feels like i been known you for years. like an incomplete Karma, is it my imagination or a memory. a memory of telling you that i will come back someday.

Thanks, Jeet. This poem I wrote after thinking about the process of reincarnation and how some people remember their past lives. You know, sometimes I find it so amazing how some people can go to places they have never been and say detail after detail about a deceased person's life and be correct. I mean, this poem is saying more along the lines of either reincarnation and past life recall is real and some sort of energy continues into another body in the future or people in the present are picking up on energies from the past from other people from other lives and times. I wonder sometimes, can memories even travel distance like many miles away? I suppose some things will only be speculation for now.

Wow~~
Now this leaves much for the Mind to ponder and what are they~
it seems that the Mind can be like a rolodex...
but what happens when the brain dies~ does the Spirit retain the residual...Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm~
Curious...
Who remembers
when a child recalls another life?
Is there a difference between the soul they are now
and the soul they were in a past life?
Yep~ this gives much for thoughts to scratch
its head...and keep that quill dancing~~
Wahooooooooooo
Thank You for sharing Your Heart and Spirit~
Many blessings to You in all You do Sweet Soul
Best wishes too
and much love~ Desire~*~

Thanks so much for the comment, Desire.
As far as the brain dying, that's the point of the poem really. I was thinking of people claiming to have past life memories and then I thought well, what if they can't be explained by cellular memory? Then, I thought what if atoms from stardust could carry memories? A bit of crazy philosophy there, but in this crazy universe I'm open to any possibility. Can you believe that I posted this on youtube and no-one liked it? Seriously I got a one star rating meaning poor, what's up with that?
Listen to me, I'm starting to become a sensitive poetess. lol.

Wow. Interesting. Profound, girl. Extremely profound. I love the poems that you write like these...the kind that make me question things that seem so simple...yet, not so simple. Good job.

Wow, very insightful and really amkes you think. I really like the line:
Does stardust have a memory?
Could interstellar space tell the stories of a million lives
of those who live and those who have died?
Great piece, well thought out -
Perfection once again ... your words always seem as though you have peeked into my mind a bit and are askingquestions that have been swirling around there for the longest time ... the biggest difference is that you actually ask them, I always thought it was useless asking as nobody would be able to tell me

Excellent write my friend - I am SO glad that you are one of my favourites
