As if an Angel,
hearing the cry of a mournful sigh
in one mystical fleeting moment,
out of my feathered dreams,
you carried me, cradled
saving my heart
from a jaded existence.
Now, I lie here
sifting through remnants
of maudlin memoirs.
Then, you take me
to the river's edge
tossing away these intangibles
with a kiss from your lips
flavored with sweet tranquility
savoring brush of your hand
against mine
we return
to our loving sanctuary.
