The day finally came
spent the day
pacing the house
making sure
that everything
was ready
Get the kids dressed up
though we'll be wearing
jeans and t-shirts
get in the car
and head in to town
Get to the office
the family is there
have to pull around
the block to park
and walk back
My hearts racing,
my body shaking
so nervous to do it
just want it done
but can't wait to do it
Finally the judge comes in
and we get started
saying the words
exchanging rings
getting married
When it is done
the family leaves
we get back in the car
and go out to eat
as man and wife
