In my garden,
roses rare and
fabulous bloom.
They stand in splendour,
superior on their
undisputed pedestals,
while on the grass below
a multitude of daisies
quiver.
Though special in their way
they lack the aura
of the rose.
I am a daisy of the poet world,
content to be
ordinary,
and pay homage to
the rarity of genius
which, like the rose,
presides above the rest
and has the power
to move not only mind,
but soul.
I am a daisy of the poet world,
but daisies too have power to move
the sensitive, poetic soul:
so look a little closer
and maybe you will see,
a tiny speck of genius
in the daisyness of me.

I love daisies! Daisies are so beautiful!

From one daisy of the poet world to another - very well done and I think your poems are lovely. We all have different things to offer and it would be very boring if we all wrote the same material in the same style. I love the simplicity of the daisy too and I especially like your last two lines. A nice refreshing read. Good luck.
