Treacherous tales teach time's torment
spoken in rows of limestone elegance,
carved into the abyss of pontification
where they are forged as sagacious stools.
Pilgrim seekers is seduced
by the elated ponderings,
sages stoop in pretense of aid,
secretly groping one's brain cells
for opinions hiding in guarded crevices.
Vagabond prophets
quill their fragile scrolls,
often decaying in the winds of fortune,
till romance of lore
becomes a mannequin
dressed in legalize fabric.
Amid the parade
marching on Academia's "I said so" treadmill,
a few doves of light fly into cerebral rafters.
Keeping silent about their visits
prevent the witch trial clones
from decapitating one's identity.
They fly into the crannies of profound,
turning into halo effigies,
whispering epiphany coos
before final exams.

Phew.. usually I don't have too much trouble exploring your writes but I had a little more trouble with this one... great job with the termonology of the write, you had everything from older words like "lore" to scientific termonolgy... and great alliteration. Contrasted really well. Thanks for the entry.

Wow! You sure overtax my one brain cell!! What a deep and philosophical write. The alliteration was great as well. Had my tongue all tied up! Best of luck in the contest.
