the Noiseless Wood

I've found a home in this noiseless wood...!

The elusive calm in my madden world
I found aplenty in this noiseless wood
The elusive love in my complex world
replete among these Flora-Fauna folks
The deafening noise of restless legs
in rat race tussle in that hostile world,
now too remotely heard as muffled din
I've found a home in this noiseless wood

The Irksome cries of furious bombs
unleashed by those blood-thirsty lords,
with senseless ego of worldly honour
The ceaseless cries of anguished kids
in endless longing for tender love
The deafening wails of restive souls
insidiously dying of intractable ailments.
I've found a home in this noiseless wood

Ooosh! The sights and sounds of that sinful world
It's infernal breeze howling so loud
as the cries of the cemetry tenants
The sickening loudness of those clashing creeds
The frenzied noise of raging ballistics
-and HIS regretful cries of baleful innovations-
The raving madness of that apocalyptic world!!
...the ambient calm of this Edenic wood...
Oh! I've found a home in this noiseless wood
Good riddance to the horrors of human world!

An interesting and vivid poem of running away from the problems of society, yet I sensed a deeper deathlike tone...as if the noiseless wood this girl had found was her own pinebox grave. I could easily feel the sickened heart of the "voice" at the 'horrors of the human world'...wonderful write! Peace, Rhonda

This is a wonderful poem! Excellent imagery I love "noiseless wood." Sounds like a wonderful place. I don't really see what this says about the girl in the "noiseless wood," though. But it is a great poem. Thanks for sharing and thanks for entering my contest. Best wishes. Take care.
