An undiscovered beauty and her daughter
Sit alone on the beach,
Yearning to be pulled out
Of a world of fairy tales.
Mother gently combs through her child's hair,
With her delicate fingertips,
As their dress of scales
Sparkle magnificently in the sun.
She fears for her daughter,
For she is so young and inexperienced.
She has yet to be informed
About the dangers of the world above.
She wishes that her daughter would stay
Eternally in this hidden world of mermaids,
But she knows that one day or another,
Her daughter will have to deal with the humans.
She just doesn't want her daughter
To end up like her husband. . .

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
I can close my eyes and see mother and child sitting upon a rock by the sea and the mother stroking her daughters hair while they sit there quietly.
