Black & white
is not so simple
anymore
Would it be like Bogie And Bacall?
You know the line.
two gypsies looking for a tango
in paradise though the angels won't come in.
Would her eyes flash at the slightest indiscretion
with feline grace
would she rake her claws across the walls?
would his eyes fall, as she leaned against the wall?
would they meet in a different place,
would the fire burn in a cold room?
with darkness coming on like bogie and bacall,
when all the dreams are gone?
would they buy a crystal ball?
I could tell you what they'd see,
I could tell you what they'd see,
but it's not up to me.
"you know how to whistle, don't you?
you just put lips together and blow"
Like Bogie and Bacall,
stranded in Key Largo.

oh I like this one a lot!
I love the sound of all the rhymes, I like its rhythm,
and it's a fun poem as well.
I'm a big Bogart & Bacall fan myself.
nice. very nice! -
You must remember this,
a kiss is just a kiss,
A sigh is just a sigh,
The fundamental things apply,
as time goes by...
(wrong movie)?
Would it be like Bogie And Bacall?
would they buy a crystal ball?
you know how to whistle, don't you?
You do like asking a lot of questions.
Wonderful. Really wonderful poem.

man did I like this one! -
It is a great classic isn't it.
Yet this is a variance, like a couple stranded in a storm cold and hungry looking for the fire that they know is each other.

I think they are two gypsies in love. Well, that is my perception anyway...it is a peacefull write with an underlying smolder of sensuality.
-
