Kin Of Sorrow

Thou still and silent despair,
Purple ribbons, which decorate my skin
With memories.
Of love and crimson sorrow kin,
You free me from the fire within.
Set me free.

Melodies of reminiscence sing,
Carry me into mythical shadows
Of my passion.
Thou stripes, which spare me the gallows,
But take me someplace that no man knows.
Set me free.

Essence of my fate stir,
Painted unsightly beauty by I,
The master.
Cold steel paintbrush thou never deny,
Beautiful to me, though not in others’ eyes.
Set me free.

Thy scions vast and numerous,
Shall upon me my destiny bestow
In spirit.
By skies above or seas below,
Only seasons past shall ever know.
Set me free.

Grace through my dying veins flows,
Done lovingly as your sisters are born
By mercy.
Young cries untended and forlorn,
My heart and soul bear no more scorn.
You have set me free.

    Set me free.

This repetition of delightful recognition is worthy of an applause in itself. The darling feared in memory appearing is true to color and haulting to no one.

    the addiction drops.
    the addiction falls.
and the addiction calls to be forgotten.

Wonderful images that flood throughout the calm call out fo a way out.

Thou stripes, which spare me the gallows,
But take me someplace that no man knows.

This drops out to me farther than ever. Loved.
