Time has stopped but memories keep playing. To hear her say, "There's nothing there" makes me cry. Hide under the covers. I'm safe here.
On a swing, I swing to the stars and join them in their never ending beauty. Soon I start to lose my glow and fall. On my way back to reality a child wishes upon me and I make all her nightmares come true.
Everything is dark, I'm swimming through blackness. I swim to the surface to breath and realize how much I've been missing. I decide to swim to shore. I feel the tiny grains of sorrow beneath my feet and look up to the stars and take a deep breath. I keep walking forward. My steps forever washed away by the blackness. Frozen in time, the past forever haunting.
