September made me sad and lonely
It was a month of hardened beauty
I spent many nights at home crying
Thinking back to that, I feel like I'm dying
October was a sad month too
I lost my joyful, carefree youth
I lost myself and all my friends
I guess they were just playing pretend
November was my month of night
I always felt dark, I couldn't see the light
It turned cold that month like my heart
I knew the snow would come forming an art
The first frost came in the month of December
I wanted to ask him if he remembered
He'd never remember, but never forget
That fateful August day we met
I wish we were still together
I guess Autumn didn't last forever

I really liked this one a lot. I liked how you described how your were feeling during the autumn months up until December. I have a poem similar to this one. It was beautifully described, and filled with emotion. Best of luck in my contest, and thanks for entering

This was really pretty actually, a sadness and a loss
So beautiful
The descend through the months was really gorgeous
It really went through gracefully and beautifully and all the traits of the month and parsonal experience
Some of the rhyme was really stunted, but other than that the poem was fantastic
The title and body was really beautiful
The longing, the wishing

Many people see Autumn as a bleak time, when the winter blues start to transfom and take shape. So one could say that this Autumn did last forever. Or at least an extended period of time. (I happen to like Autumn best, but that's just me) I think you captured the title, and the song itself quite well, as te song is laced with deep sadness. It is one of my favorite songs though.
